Surprise!

The Islamic Society of North America has just chosen a woman to lead it. Ontarian Ingrid Mattson, a convert to Islam, has already served as vice-president of the organization. She was one of the first to call Muslims to denounce the attacks of 9/11, and says her election shows "what Muslims can do, and would like to do." Let's hope it shows there is an increasing number of them wanting to move forward, instead of looking back.
