Deja Vu

Didn't this just happen a couple of nights ago?
The Oilers beat Anaheim's Quacks tonight 3-1, both nights with the last goal being scored on an empty net! The "Pond" was so quiet. I wonder why? I was happily cheering.

I can't get over the "ice girls" from the game last night. I had never heard of them. Apparently though, these hockey cheerleaders, there to enhance the entertainment value of the sport (or give then men something to look at during intermissions) were first introduced by the Carolina Hurricanes in 1999. Soon, the New York Islanders and Dallas Stars followed. I guess the Mighty Ducks have their own as well. It's a trend that's thankfully not spreading.

True fans of the game apparently don't like this latest "Americanization" of the game.

I wonder if there will be "ice boys" at the women's games?
