Lattes for Literacy
OK latte lovers, please mark Thursday January 19th on your calendar. It's a day to head to your nearest Starbucks, indulge your preference and do something great, all at the same time. With no more effort than it takes to lift the frothy concoction to your mouth, you'll be helping people all across Canada. On that day Starbucks will donate 100% of the purchase price of any size latte to Frontier College to support literacy programs. What a great way to spend a couple of dollars!

Yup - a great excuse to indulge. Stopped in at Starbucks (one in downtown Ottawa) on Friday for a coffee (and because my coworker thinks the cashier is cute) and saw the big sign for supporting the cause outside.
I believe Starbucks has decided that youth and literacy are their causes - which is fantastic! They donated to Frontier College last year as well.
